Went shark diving last month and every aspect was perfect! The staff are excellent - enthusiastic, caring and knowledgable. The catering is abundant, boat is clean and you feel very safe! Definaltey take sea sick medication as a precaution! Chose this company as I figured bait had to be better then other forms of attracting sharks. We saw 6 on the day! Highly recommend Calypso!! Thanks so much!

Illegally feed sharks bait in a marine sanctuary, used too much chum, reattached bait without waiting the legal required time. Huge numbers on the boat and so very little time was given in the cage. Upon investigation actively snubbed the local community and had little regard for the ecology of the sanctuary or the other businesses (other shark diving groups, fishing groups and tourist business). Also was shocked when the boat approached Rodney Fox group's boat and passed close by while they had divers in a cage in the water. Would not recommend - have heard that Adventure Bay Charters uses music to lure sharks in (ecologically friendly group) and that Rodney Fox follows SA shark dive laws and gives you more time in the cage - would recommend these groups over Calypso any day.

Truely amazing! The best experience you could ask for. Seal dive was unreal. Great crew, passionate and helpful. My go pro case started to leak so they took it to the boat, dried it and to my suprise brought it back in one of their cases. The shark dive is just unforgettable! Cant wait to come back to do both again. Might plan for summer though

Amazing experience! Expensive (cost of flights from Adelaide, hotel in Port Lincoln, plus fees) but worth it. I went in the Australian winter so it was a small group and we had as much time in the cage as we wanted (I got out after an hour because it was too cold, even with a wetsuit on). This company has no minimum number of participants so you're guaranteed to sail (a critical factor in me selecting them). They also use bait which I think has a high chance of attracting sharks (check out the "sightings records" to see the frequency of past sightings to select the best times). We had beautiful weather and three sharks showed up. I got a little seasick but this is common on small boats. The equipment is easy to use and you don't need scuba experience or to be a strong swimmer - it is similar to snorkeling and you stand on the bottom of the cage. This would have been way too expensive if no sharks were seen (they do have a "no show" policy but I was on a tight schedule due to flights and the length of my vacation) but everything worked out wonderfully. Friendly staff, nice boat, equipment and good food. I highly recommend booking a trip: this is a once in a lifetime experience!
